NotLate — an iOS app for overthinking and restless nights · Show HN
- The opening sentence is right: "It's the middle of the night and your mind is wide awake." The four steps (write, weigh, seal, decide in the morning) are simple and gentle. I knew what the app does before I scrolled.
- Privacy is the strongest argument for this audience, and it's well stated: no account, no cloud, works offline, no analytics. People who write their 3 a.m. thoughts want to read exactly that.
- "Start free with 3 seals" doesn't say whether that's 3 in total or 3 per night. For an app meant for bad nights, that decides whether the free version is a trial or a tool. The FAQ repeats "3 seals" without answering.
- The yearly plan undersells itself. $39.99 a year against $5.99 a month is a saving of about 44%, which is more than "two months free" (that would be about $59.90). The plan is better than the label on it.
- First fix: write "3 seals in total" (or "per night") next to the price, and change "two months free" to the real saving.
