The first GPT that could look at a picture. It described a lot of screenshots of error messages.
OpenAI has confirmed the retirement of gpt-4-vision-preview, effective December 6, 2024, aged 1 year and 1 month. It answered questions, wrote emails and was blamed for both. Requests addressed to it are expected to come back unanswered.
Survived by gpt-4o, younger, cheaper, and named in the same documentation table.
