Retired by Google
imagen-4.0-ultra-generate-preview-06-06 passed away on February 17, 2026, by scheduled deprecation, in a data center it never saw. It made pictures on request, some of them with the right number of fingers. Code that still calls it will find out the hard way.
Survived by gemini-nano-banana-2.1, younger, cheaper, and named in the same documentation table.
